Exotic Beaches of Mexico

Ensconced by great ruins, vibrant culture and beautiful sandy beaches, Mexico is a traveler’s delight and paradise. Miles and m of sandy coastlines stretching from Caribbean Sea in the east to Pacific Ocean to the west including Gulf of Mexico, every beach in Mexico is different and enough of a reason why tourists head to Mexico to soak in the sand and sun. Some best beaches in Mexico listed here just for you:-

1.    Playa de Carmen is a sleepy fishing village with a lovely beach replete with clear sparkling waters and white sands. There are numerous resorts and small hotels to suit every pocket. Cruise ships and easy boat access makes it a favorable venture for most tourists. Getting to Cozumel and Mesoamerican Barrier Reef is easier from this point.

2.    Bahia Balandra is located in the Baja region of La Paz. Famous for its rock formation called Diamond rock, Bahia Balandra offers a beautiful mix of clear water and sand. Lack of amenities close to the beachside offers a lot of privacy to those who come here.

3.    Playa de Akumal is a great beach that offers plenty of snorkeling opportunities to its visitors owing to a reef that stretches some 20-300 feet. The water is calm, has no waves and is deemed safe for swimming. Tourists can regale at the turtles, tropical fish and other marine animals that are a common sight here.

4.    Cancun beach is a magnificent beach with turquoise waters, located along the Coast of Mexico. The strip adjoining the Gulf of Mexico is a reminiscent of Vegas strip because it is flooded with resorts, fine dining restaurants, shops and lots more. Tourists can indulge in water sports besides watching turtle, whales and other marine life. Snorkeling is a popular activity here.

5.    Playa del Amor is one of the most famous beaches in Mexico. Cradled between Sea of Cortez and Pacific Ocean, it is easily accessible by a water boat from Cabo san Lucas marina. Towering Land’s End rock formation, abundant snorkeling opportunities and endless ocean views makes it worth visiting Playa del Amor.

6.    Playa Norte is situated to the northern side of Isla Mujeres off the coast of Cancun. Just a short hop from the mainland, the beach is lined with palm trees and beachfront restaurant and bars. Sea turtles and whale sharks are found in plenty. This is a great place to swim, watch wildlife animals in their elements, and let your hair down to relax.

7.    Tulum is located amidst the Tulum Mayan ruins, to the southern end of the Riviera Maya. Wide sandy beaches, clear sparkling water and palm trees only enhance the beauty of Tulum beach and make it a must-visit destination for all tourists who come to Mexico. Great beach hotels in the vicinity offer comfortable staying facilities.

8.    Playa La Ropa offers water sports like parasailing, jet skis and hobie cats. Not a great beach for swimming as it is known for crocodiles.

9.    Puerto Vallarta beach offers snorkeling activities, deep sea fishing and whale watching. A popular resort town in Mexico, Puerto Vallarta is a great amalgamation between old world charm and modernity.

10.    Zipolite gained notoriety in the 60s and 80s as one of Mexico’s nude beaches. Known for its counterculture, Zipolite attracts all kinds of crowds including sunbathers, yoga gurus, hippies and surfers. A number of lodging, mid range hotels and restaurants surround the west end of the beach.
